Kakome Bay & the Southern Riviera: A Yacht Day Guide
Kakome, Krorëz and Bunec — secluded southern bays reached only by yacht from Saranda. Plan your private Ionian day charter.

South of Himarë, the Albanian Riviera becomes quieter and more secluded. Kakome, Krorëz and Bunec are bays where roads fade away and the Ionian takes over — reachable primarily by yacht, with water so clear it feels unreal. This is the heart of 'only by sea' Albania.
The bays
Kakome is a perfect crescent framed by pine and limestone — often empty even in summer. Krorëz and Bunec offer the same solitude with slightly different character: one a mirror-calm inlet, the other a wider anchorage for swimming and deck lunch. See our full [Bunec, Krorëz & Kakome route](/destinations/bunec-krorez-kakome).
Combining with other stops
A southern day can include Himarë, Filikur or a slow cruise toward Saranda and Ksamil. Pair with our guide to [bays you reach only by sea](/articles/bays-only-accessible-by-sea) and the [best season to charter](/articles/best-time-charter-albanian-riviera).
